ZOVAN

Privacy Policy

Effective: September 29, 2026

1. Overview

ZOVAN helps parents and guardians document and preserve an athlete's journey, including sports participation, statistics, milestones, memories, media, schedules, and related information. This Privacy Policy explains the information ZOVAN collects, how it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to account holders.

ZOVAN accounts are intended to be created and managed by adults. Youth athletes do not need to create their own ZOVAN accounts in order for a parent or guardian to maintain an athlete profile.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect information provided when an adult creates or uses a ZOVAN account, including name, email address, authentication information, account preferences, and information needed to provide customer support.

Account holders may provide information about an athlete, including the athlete's name, preferred name, birth date, graduation year, hometown, sports, teams, schedules, game information, statistics, milestones, memories, equipment or gear, photographs, videos, and other content the account holder chooses to add.

We may also collect technical and usage information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve ZOVAN, such as device, browser, request, and application activity information.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to provide and operate ZOVAN, authenticate users, create and maintain athlete profiles, provide schedules, statistics, milestones, memories and other requested features, enable family access, provide customer support, maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve the service.

We may also use account contact information to send service messages, account notices, beta communications, and other information related to use of ZOVAN.

4. Youth Athlete Information

ZOVAN is designed so that an adult parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult manages the account and athlete profile. By submitting information about a minor athlete, the account holder represents that they have authority to provide and manage that information through ZOVAN.

ZOVAN does not require a child to create an account in order for the adult account holder to use the service on the athlete's behalf.

5. Public Athlete Websites

Certain ZOVAN features may allow an account holder to create or publish a shareable athlete website. Information the account holder chooses to make available on a public athlete website may be viewable by anyone who can access that website.

Account holders are responsible for deciding what information, photographs, statistics, milestones, schedules, gear, biography, and other content they choose to make public. Information should not be published if the account holder does not want it publicly accessible.

6. Family and Shared Access

ZOVAN may allow an account holder to invite another authorized person to access or help manage an athlete profile. Account holders should only provide access to people they trust and who are authorized to view or manage the athlete's information.

7. Service Providers

We may use third-party service providers to help operate ZOVAN, including providers for hosting, databases, file storage, authentication, email delivery, payment processing, and related infrastructure. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services to ZOVAN.

Payment information for paid services may be processed by our payment provider. ZOVAN does not need to store complete payment card numbers in order to provide subscription functionality.

8. Selling Information and Advertising

ZOVAN does not sell personal information provided through the service. ZOVAN does not use youth athlete information for targeted advertising.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information maintained through ZOVAN. No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security, however, and account holders should use a strong, unique password and protect access to their account.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide ZOVAN, maintain the account, meet legitimate operational or legal needs, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Information that is no longer reasonably necessary will be deleted or otherwise handled in accordance with our applicable retention practices.

Account holders may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal information or athlete information they manage. ZOVAN may also provide account and data deletion controls directly within the service.

11. Beta Service

During testing periods, including the Founding Beta, ZOVAN may collect feedback, bug reports, feature feedback, and information about how participants use the service so that we can evaluate and improve the product.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ZOVAN develops or as our practices or legal obligations change. When appropriate, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice of material changes.
